AUTUMN GLORY
I can't even begin to explain how action-packed this season has been. While it's all been in good fun and productivity, it seems I've been having less and less time for some extracurricular activities (such as this page). I thought I’d give a few updates by summing up a few of the "fall highlights" in a gallery upload post.
I finally got to go to drinks with some girlfriends to celebrate my friend Meghan’s engagement. We chose a cute little bar in the West Village and had a great time catching up. Our nightcap that evening turned into a barcrawl and I can’t say I was surprised.
My roommate Kelley and I have recently been going the extra mile (literally) to expand our Saturday morning runs. Running throughout cities neighboring Hoboken in what we would consider unknown territory to us has been fuel to keep us going. It gets my butt in gear so I can’t say I’ve minded.
Rock the BBQ Hoboken was a great event that took place on Pier A in Hoboken. There were a variety of vendors all featuring different tasty foods and bands playing a lot of good music. My favorite purchase? The spicy peanut butter and pulled pork flatbread. It was UNREAL.
My friend Holly (who has been one of my closest friends since age 5) was finally able to make her way to Hoboken a few Friday's ago! It was also my first time seeing her engagment ring and I got to hear all about what she has planned for her upcoming wedding. Although we don't get to see each other as often as we'd like, when we finally do it's like we haven't missed a beat.
Kelley and I made our way to one of the last outdoor Saturdays for this season's Smorgasburg in Williamsburg. Naturally, we made a beeline for the Ramen Burgers and Pommes Frites stands. It was everything I had hoped for in a bun made of ramen. Afterwards we hit up Radegast Hall & Biergarten and made another pit stop in Manhattan at Rolf's to beat the holiday tourist rush and get the annual glass of their delicious mulled wine.
Another weekend was spent with a friend's family. We did dinner at Fig & Olive and then explored the highline since her father lives in North Carolina and had never been. The next day I made my way home to my parents and tried a new yoga place with my friend Elizabeth. The remainder of the weekend was spent running around the old stomping grounds and attending Elizabeth's Fall Harvest Party.
